Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for Inner Signal, including local browser history, preview app storage, third-party platforms, Signal contact, and limits of confidentiality.

Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 29, 2026

Inner Signal is designed to be as clear as possible about privacy.

This page explains what may be saved, what is not confidential, and what you should avoid sharing.

Inner Signal is an educational self-hypnosis and inner-child reparenting trainer. It is not therapy, medical care, crisis support, or a confidential clinical service.

The short version

Do not share anything here that you would only share inside a legally confidential therapy, medical, or attorney-client relationship.

The preview app is designed to store conversation history locally in your browser when local saving is enabled. That means the preview history is not meant to be sent to me or stored on an Inner Signal server.

However, depending on how you access Inner Signal — through Ghost, Substack, Claude, ChatGPT, a browser, a hosting platform, analytics tools, or another third-party service — those platforms may have their own data rules.

Privacy mode in the app only controls whether the preview app saves your conversation history locally in your browser. It does not create legal confidentiality and it does not override the privacy policies of any third-party platform.

What the preview app stores

The static preview app may store conversation history in your own browser using local browser storage.

This can include:

  • your messages
  • the app’s replies
  • the mode you used
  • any phrase, body signal, or small action you entered
  • saved history used for download/delete features

This local browser storage is intended to stay on your device/browser unless you export it, copy it, share it, or your browser/device syncs or backs it up through other tools.

You can delete saved history using the app’s delete-history button.

You can also clear your browser storage/cache manually.

Privacy mode

Privacy mode controls whether new preview messages are saved in local browser storage.

When privacy mode is on, the preview app should avoid saving new messages locally.

Privacy mode does not mean:

  • legal confidentiality
  • therapist-client privilege
  • medical privacy
  • encryption by Inner Signal
  • protection from third-party platforms
  • protection from your browser, device, extensions, backups, workplace monitoring, or shared devices

Use privacy mode as a convenience feature, not as a legal privacy guarantee.

Read-aloud feature

If the preview app uses browser read-aloud or speech synthesis, that feature is handled by your browser/device.

Inner Signal does not need to send the text to a server for the basic browser speech-synthesis feature, but your browser, operating system, or device settings may affect how speech features work.

If privacy is important, review your browser/device settings before using read-aloud.

Third-party platforms

Inner Signal may use or link to third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

  • Ghost
  • Substack
  • Signal Messenger
  • Claude
  • ChatGPT
  • hosting providers
  • payment processors
  • analytics tools
  • survey or feedback tools

Those services have their own privacy policies and terms.

If you use Inner Signal through one of those platforms, your use may be governed by that platform’s rules in addition to anything stated here.

Signal contact

The contact link may open Signal Messenger or a Signal-related forwarding page.

Signal may provide encrypted messaging between users, but your own device, contacts, metadata, backups, screenshots, notifications, or forwarded messages may still affect privacy.

Do not use Signal contact for emergencies.

Do not send information that requires clinical confidentiality.

Payments and subscriptions

If Inner Signal uses paid access, subscriptions, or donations, payment details may be handled by third-party payment platforms such as Ghost, Substack, Stripe, or another provider.

Inner Signal should not directly receive your full payment-card information unless explicitly stated by the payment provider.

Payment platforms may collect information necessary to process payments, handle receipts, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Analytics

This site may use basic analytics to understand visits, pages viewed, referral sources, and general usage patterns.

Analytics may include information such as:

  • page visited
  • approximate location
  • browser type
  • device type
  • referral source
  • time of visit

If analytics are used, they are intended to improve the site, app, and user experience.

They are not meant to diagnose users, profile mental health, or infer private psychological conditions.

Feedback, surveys, and outcome tracking

Inner Signal may invite optional feedback or survey responses.

If you choose to submit feedback, survey answers, or outcome reports, those responses may be stored and reviewed to improve the app, safety handling, guides, and future versions.

Do not include identifying details unless the form clearly asks for them and you are comfortable sharing them.

Anonymous or pseudonymous feedback may still contain details that could identify you if you write them into the response.

What not to share

Avoid sharing:

  • full legal name unless needed
  • home address
  • government ID numbers
  • financial information
  • passwords
  • private medical records
  • names of other people involved in sensitive situations
  • details that would place you or someone else in danger
  • anything you would only share under a legally protected professional relationship

Inner Signal works best with one honest sentence, not your entire life history.

Crisis and safety limits

Inner Signal is not a crisis service.

If you may harm yourself or someone else, feel unsafe, are in immediate danger, or cannot stay grounded, do not rely on the app, website, or contact form.

Use emergency services, a crisis line, a trusted person near you, or local urgent support.

Inner Signal is not designed to replace real human help in urgent situations.

Adults only

Inner Signal is intended for adults.

It is not designed for minors.

If you are under 18, use youth-appropriate support and trusted adults rather than adult-style self-hypnosis or inner-child processing tools.

Data deletion

For the static preview app, you can delete local saved history using the delete-history button.

You can also clear your browser storage manually.

For data held by third-party services — such as payment processors, email platforms, Substack, Ghost, Signal, Claude, ChatGPT, surveys, or analytics providers — you may need to use that platform’s own privacy tools or contact process.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Inner Signal changes.

If the app adds accounts, server-side storage, paid access, analytics, surveys, or new third-party integrations, this page should be updated to explain those changes.
